A Little Roman Scandal

Ms. Mueller brings her readers back to ancient Rome and gives them an
exotic setting and multi-dimensional characters. This reviewer is a big
fan of Jennifer Mueller’s short stories. She manages to put a lot of
emotion together with a good plot. She gives her readers a heroine who is
in some way misused or mistreated, but manages to find the right man who
helps her out of her predicament. Her heroines are also brave souls who
know how to wait for the right opportunity and grab it with both hands.
These are heroines that the reader knows deserve the happy endings that Ms
Mueller gives them. Fans of short, intense historicals must read Jennifer
Mueller.

The Odyssey and other Stories

I Imagine Walking The characters in this book showed great
depth. I loved seeing the relationship between Gregorio and Danielle
blossom. Rick never seemed to understand what a lovely woman he his wife
is. Ms. Mueller's story shows that passion can come out of nowhere, and
that when given time to grow, it can be a beautiful thing.
An Unusual Danna I was impressed
with the strong emotions expressed and the way Ms. Mueller got them across
in the story.
The Odyssey I love English Literature and this story just was so
amazing to me. To have a country woman published as a poet is a lot of
fun. I enjoyed all the characters and the portrayal of William Wordsworth
was something different. I truly loved this one. It is by far my favorite.
Ms. Mueller takes a leap from one time
period to the next and it flows beautifully. All the stories are so sweet
they just about melted my heart. These women want freedom and they work
hard to stay true to themselves. It is not that they refuse to experience
love but that they want it on their own terms. To them, love is a very
serious matter and not to be taken lightly. I embraced these women and
found myself with friends.

The Dancer's Secret

The Dancer’s Secret keeps the reader glued till the end of the story. The twist
of mystery and delicate romance keeps the hero and heroine alive throughout the
story. Ms. Mueller pens a tale that ensures the story flows smoothly while the
reader wonders if the two will get caught or end up together. She instills an
air of history that energizes and creates a most vivid setting. The Dancer’s
Secret is a delightful read that shows how adversity and love blends to make a
lifetime commitment with just a bit of trust. Ms. Mueller’s flare of writing
takes a small parcel and creates a huge dynamite explosion.

Crusader

This quick tale gives insight into true love and devotion. Passion has
kept the spirits of Luc and Genevieve strong, but they still have much to
get through. Jennifer Mueller’s retelling of past events establishes a
strong foundation for the romance and introduces a few surprises. Many of
the secondary characters play an important role in this tale, and their
lives are bound up in Luc’s visions for the future. Crusader is an
enjoyable historical glimpse of one man’s strength and purpose to recreate
the life and love that was stolen from him.

The Dancer's Secret

This is a very exotic story that kept
this reader glued to every page. Jennifer Mueller knows how to draw the
reader in. She writes multi-dimensional characters that leap off the page.
Her descriptive prose captures the time and location so that the reader
can feel the sights and sounds of the time. Exciting and thrilling, Ms
Mueller keeps her readers guessing to the very end of the story. The
romance is subtle and sweet keeping the reader enthralled wondering if the
hero and heroine actually get together in the end. Ms Mueller has a real
knack for the mystery and writes a plot that reads very smoothly. This
reviewer enjoyed this story very much and could hardly put it down.

Luc is a very strong and sympathetic
character. With the patronage of another nobleman, he builds himself and
his friends a home out of the wilderness. Genevieve is also a strong and
likeable character. The friends Luc brings home with him are colorful, as
are the former prisoners that he brings to live with him. Overall, this is
a very enjoyable story.

Finest island in the world

Finest
Island In The World is a spicy short story with a gutsy, determined heroine
and a sex god of a hero. The plot flows smoothly, and, though a very short
read, the tale is enjoyable. Reading this story, you can sympathize with the
heroine and feel anger on her behalf, as well as anticipation that the
cruise will go much better than she could have ever expected. Sexual
encounters are fairly detailed, and one does take place in a public setting.
Should anyone have looked up (or even down) they could have enjoyed (or been
scandalized by) the scene that was taking place on Cherie's balcony. There
is a small plot twist, not foreseen but not completely insignificant. Finest
Island In The World is a tale that tells the beginnings of what promises to
be two weeks of heaven for the heroine, with a hint that maybe more could
follow. Fancy a cruise, anyone? Jennifer Mueller certainly has me hankering
after one – complete with a gorgeous island native, of course.

each one of them in their own personal way. These 13 stories are all
