Jennifer Mueller tells a story of a
beautiful woman who takes on the dangerous Chinese underworld. Mai-ling was
snatched from a destitute life by the owner of the Golden Dragon Club, a place
known for drugs and gambling. She soon learns that there is much more to her
savior then being the owner of a successful nightclub. Mai-ling fights for her
life as she works to bring down the people responsible for killing her
benefactor. Can one tiny woman bring down a criminal organization?

This is a very exciting little story about a woman who through her own courage takes on the world of crime and criminals to get revenge for a man who had looked upon her as his own daughter. The reader is drawn into the story from page one as Ms. Mueller pulls her reader in with an exciting story and sympathetic characters. The reader will love and be rooting for Mai-ling throughout the whole book. She draws the reader right into the story and she gives good visuals of the time period and locations. It is clear that Ms Mueller has researched her stories well for historical accuracy as her descriptive prose shows. While reading, this reviewer felt as if she was time traveling to the time and location. This reviewer entirely enjoyed this short story and is looking forward to reading more from the pen of Jennifer Mueller.
