Jennifer Mueller's story features a feisty heroine named Olivia who I loved and a very sexy and honorable hero named Cort. The author does an excellent job of fleshing out the characters, even the secondary ones. She really brought the Canadian setting and World War One time period to life, too. I liked that Olivia and Cort took things slowly and you could definitely feel the tension building. I thoroughly enjoyed this short and satisfying romance.

Jennifer Mueller has set this story during the time of WW1. Both the hero and heroine have had their experiences and scars from this war. This is a charming story with just a dash of erotic. Both Cort and Olivia are well written characters that the reader can immediately empathize with. The dialogue is particularly good. There are a few secondary characters that add depth to the story. This reviewer enjoyed their interaction, it was refreshingly real. Ms Mueller writes sensuous romantic love scenes that certainly curled this reviewer’s toes. Ms Mueller gives her readers a very satisfying tale that warms the heart and leaves a sigh on the reader’s lips at its end. Ms. Mueller must be hailed as the Queen of the short story.

 The plot grabs you from the first words. Olivia is a fully realized character that you can't help but like and admire as she tries to honor her father's wishes. Cort is a delicious hero with the right mix of bad boy and gentleman. Watching the two come together as a couple was great fun.

An Arrangement Among Gentlemen is a story about two lovable and believable characters that shine through the pages. The scar and heartache that trouble Olivia touches the reader deeply. The beautiful detailed setting gives the reader a vivid feel of everything while lacing emotions and love that flow through the pages. I adored Olivia and Cort and easily sympathized with their situation. Ms. Mueller instills a delightful story with conversation that makes the reader feel every movement in the book. With the well rounded secondary characters the elements combine to make this a very motivating read.
Ms. Mueller creates a story that sparks with love, tenderness and romance and leaves a feel good feeling all over. An Arrangement Among Gentlemen will tug at the heart and leave you with a most gratifying story that will not be forgotten. Ms. Mueller can take any size story and add enough depth to it making it a dynamite explosion sure to please. She is one gifted storyteller that never disappoints and always leaves a smile while generating wonderful characters that remain embedded within the heart. Her stories are like fine wine that truly gets better with age. I really love her work.
